Be a Part of Alumni Way
Regardless of when you were a student at Michigan Tech, you share in the many unique traditions here – broomball, Winter Carnival, K-Day, Spring Fling, MTSF Oozeball, Parade of Nations, Homecoming, and many more.
The Alumni Association is proud to help create yet another great Tech tradition with the placement of a larger-than-life Husky statue on campus. The husky statue will be placed on a boulder and surrounded by benches and planters on a surface of special paver stones located near the center of campus. You are invited to be a part of this tradition by purchasing an engraved paver stone for the area.
Two sizes are available:
Deadline for orders is May 31. A gift receipt will be issued for all contributions.
Almost all of the large pavers have been sold, so be sure to call to check for availability before ordering!
If you prefer, you can order your paver by calling the Michigan Tech Fund at 906-487-2310.
|Anyone who has shoveled snow at Michigan Tech will be asking, "Isn't the engraving going to wear away pretty quickly?" The pavers are locally made by Superior Block especially for this project, with engraving by Pristine Products of Racine, Wisconsin. The engraving on these pavers is filled with a colored epoxy for consistent appearance and unmatched durability for years to come. The epoxy is actually more durable than the brick itself.|
We recently received private funding support to construct this statue as part of the Alumni Way project. Below is an artist's rendering of the statue as it will appear, complete with personalized pavers.
|We hope you will consider making a tax-exempt donation by purchasing a paver in support of the Alumni Way project. It is a fitting acknowledgement of our Michigan Tech alumni and will enhance the campus environment for years to come.|
