The University Honors Jacqueline Huntoon

The University congratulates Jacqueline Huntoon on her upcoming career transition on July 1 to become director of the Division of Graduate Education (DGE) at the National Science Foundation (NSF).

As DGE division director, Huntoon will be a key member of the senior leadership team of the Directorate for STEM Education and will be working with counterparts across NSF’s directorates for the improvement of STEM education. She will represent NSF on issues regarding graduate STEM education while fostering partnerships with other NSF divisions and directorates, other federal agencies, the academic higher education community and scientific and educational organizations in the U.S. and internationally. Finally, she will supervise and provide leadership for senior executive-level DGE staff, scientific staff and administrative professionals who collaboratively support U.S. graduate students and innovative graduate programs; assess emerging needs and trends in STEM learning at the graduate level; and develop breakthrough opportunities through strategic planning and policy direction.

Congratulations, Jackie, and thank you for all you’ve done for Michigan Tech.
