Teamwork: New Graduate School Dean Begins Duties

On July 1, Will Cantrell, a professor in the Physics Department, assumed the position of associate provost and dean of the Graduate School.

Opportunity Identification and Value Creation as Michigan Re-Opens

Husky Innovate, the MTEC-SmartZone and the SBDC are collaborating to offer our business community an "Opportunity Identification and Value Recognition as Michigan Re-Opens" free virtual workshop from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29.

COVID-19 changed how we do business. It also shifted customers' needs and wants. Business owners and professionals may be asking themselves how to align with customers' changing needs and what opportunities this pandemic might present. During our opportunity recognition workshop we will explore how Copper Country business owners and their teams can confidently move forward using the principles of Lean Startup, Design Thinking and Strategic Doing.

Representatives from the collaboration will share information about local community resources, programs and upcoming events which may be useful.

Keweenaw county residents are invited to bring their laptop and join from a local Wi-Fi broadcast spot at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge. Please register by July 26. Please email lcasper@mtu.edu with any questions.
