Seagren’s appointment is for a three-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026, and ending Jan. 1, 2029. His expertise in environmental engineering and water quality will help support the board’s mission to protect Michigan’s water resources and public health.

Weather Closure Update: BW6 Timesheets Due Tonight Before Midnight

Due to Michigan Technological University’s weather closure on Monday, March 16, the University’s Bi-Weekly Pay Period 6 (BW6) timesheet deadlines have been extended to Tuesday, March 17, at 11:59 p.m.

All electronic timesheets, manual timesheets and reallocations must be submitted in Michigan Tech’s Experience online service dashboard by tonight, March 17, at 11:59 p.m.

Hourly employees must submit their time and have it approved by the deadline in order to be paid in BW06.

Because of this adjustment, early ACH deposits that some banks provide may be affected. If you normally see your payroll deposit on Wednesday and do not receive it at that time, please do not contact Payroll Services. Instead, wait until Thursday at noon, when BW6 pay stubs will be available in Experience and ACH deposits will be sent.

Please also note that if a salaried employee’s timesheet is not submitted by the deadline, the employee will still be paid their regular salary. Any necessary adjustments, including closure codes, can be submitted later using a manual timesheet and will be processed in a subsequent off-cycle payroll.

If you experience issues submitting or approving time after tonight’s 11:59 p.m. deadline, please complete a manual timesheet and send it as soon as possible to payroll-help@mtu.edu.

Women's Rights are Human Rights: International Posters on Gender-based Inequality, Violence, and Discrimination Gallery Exhibit - Rozsa Art Galleries

MICHIGAN TECH ART SERIES EVENT Women’s Rights are Human Rights is a fitting title for an exhibition of women’s rights and advocacy posters, as it was a term used in the women’s rights movement and was the title of an important speech given by Hillary Rodham Clinton in 1995 at the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing. This exhibition features posters created by artsit of all genders to celebrate and acknowledge the vital role that all citizens should play in protecting and promoting human rights while challenging gender inequality and stereotypes, advancing reproductive and sexual rights, protecting women and girls against brutality, and promoting women’s empowerment and participation in society.
