All employees must purchase a permit in order to park in Campus Lots. Permits are only valid for the vehicles registered to the permit. Permits can be purchased at the Transportation Services Office or online during open enrollment.
Parking is first-come, first-serve for the Lots associated with each permit.
Use of Faculty/Staff Permits by students enrolled at Michigan Tech is strictly prohibited.

Open Enrollment / Purchasing a Permit Online
During Open Enrollment, employees* may elect to pay for permits through pre-tax payroll deduction ($6.88 / pay period) to purchase a Red Faculty/Staff Permit.
*Fixed-Term and Temporary Employees are not eligible for payroll deduction and must purchase their permits at the Transportation Services Office.
To purchase your permit online:
- Go to the Michigan Tech Parking Portal
- Sign in using your ISO Username and Password
- Click on Get Permits
- If you chose payroll deduction during Open Enrollment, select the 2018-2019 Fac/Staff/Red - Payroll Deduction $6.88 per pay period permit option
- Otherwise choose the permit you elect to purchase

Confirm/Add Registered Vehicles Valid with Permit:
- Click on the Vehicles dropdown menu
- Click on the Add Vehicle button to add new vehicle information
- Click on the license plate for any existing vehicles
Permits purchased during Open Enrollment will be sent via campus mail in December.
Refund/Stop Deduction Options
Faculty/Staff Permits are valid for two years. If you leave the University or are not going to be on campus for a period of time, you may return your permit to the Transportation Services Office for a pro-rated refund (if paid in full) or to stop deductions* (if you elected for payroll deductions).
*If you are not on payroll for any period of time and have not returned your permit and completed a Stop Deductions Form, deductions will be charged in arrears when you return to campus.
