Mark your calendar and pack your bags, on Saturday, November 29, 2014 we will be making history. The schedule has been released and for the first time the Michigan Tech Hockey Huskies will be on the ice for WCHA hockey in the South! Yes, you heard me correctly; the “Huskies” are coming to play ice hockey here in Huntsville, Alabama.

I am writing this because this is a momentous occasion and you can be part of it!  Let’s show our team some Southern Hospitality with cheers and our black and gold colors, especially when they will be expecting little support so far from home. The Alumni Association has planned a pre-game buffet dinner and reserved a block of rooms at the Spring Hill Suites in Downtown Huntsville which is within 9 minute walk of the ice arena.  You can reserve your spot by visiting www.huskylink.mtu.edu/huntsville2014 or by calling the Alumni Relations office at 877.688.2586.

I am the President of the Michigan Technological University Alumni Association (MTUAA) and a transplanted Yankee living in Alabama.  I can’t wait to see the game and hope many of you come out and show your pride in Michigan Tech.
