And More Mail!

We connected an audio oscillator to a 100 watt stereo and found the resonant frequency of the dorm interior doors. This caused all of them to vibrate up and down the halls.  Pretty low frequency as I recall which didn’t do the speakers any good.  That activity shook up the RA and we had to run for cover from him and the baseball bat he always carried around when aggravated.

–Thanks, Pete: see, this is why I love this school. And why I wouldn’t be surprised if this experiment was repeated regularly.

Great article, but especially these words:

“I’m not really a religious person, but I do believe in a very abstract form of reincarnation: the best parts of ourselves, the ways we best treated each other, and the good that we’ve done, that lives on in the other lives we have the good fortune to touch. It’s that positivity that, one act of kindness and compassion at a time, makes the world a better place. ”

Wow.  Wonderfully said.  Eternal truth.

Thank You,

–Thank you, Ryan: that was a tough piece to write. I regret that I didn’t get to meet Justin, but I am very inspired by how he faced down any obstacle in his path as well as his honest and forthright manner. It’s something I’ll always carry with me.
