Hi Dennis,
I found an article from the Ironwood Daily Globe in 1996 that refreshed my memory. The article on the page about commencement mentions the Wesley House being acquired by MTU and being renovated and renamed into the Harold Meese Center. Attaching the article. I think mapquest today says the street was East Houghton. I couldn’t remember the name of the street, but recall walking past the house when I walked from campus to Jim’s Food Store.

Thanks, John. I’m still trying to picture the old house. That location is the new Harold Meese Center.

Hi, Dennis.

I do appreciate the MTU TechAlum News that you edit!!

Here are two photos that I have from the 1974-1975 school year, the first year in the “new” Wesley House, which is now Alumni House, right?

Anyway, there were about 50 guys that lived there that first year. (It was my senior year.) The larger photo is of most of the guys in front of our 4th place (Class II) ice statue entry “Snow: 40 Days and 40 Nights.” The statue was right in front of the south face of the building near the front door. It’s size caused some concern as melting began, but there were no mishaps.

The smaller photo is of “our” view north from the 2nd floor toward TKE House and the Keeweenaw.
