Winter Carnival 2018 may be over but the memories linger at Michigan Tech. Watching the statues come together during the all-nighter always is exciting.

This year was my family’s second Winter Carnival and the same excitement hung in the air as we saw the sculptures come to life overnight.

Huskies build a chapel of ice and snow. More than 1,500 people came together to break the Guiness World Record for snowman making.

Winter’s not over yet in the Keweenaw. But it was fun to celebrate the beauty of the season.
