On August 17 Schmohz Brewery hosted the West Michigan chapter fish fry with fish provided by Capt. Ken Glupker ’73, operator of Jireh Charters. His wife, Judy, caught around 85 Walleye between charters, which netted 55 pounds of fish, plenty to feed more than 60 people who attended this year’s event. Fishing raffle tickets were sold for a half day excursion with either Anderson Charters in Acadia on Lake Michigan or Jireh Charters in Au Gres on Lake Huron. All proceeds go to the West Michigan Scholarship Fund. The winners will be drawn at the Spring 2018 dinner. It was great weather for gathering on the outdoor patio and enjoying Schmohz beer and delicious deep fried Walleye with french fries and coleslaw.
