Career Services

Career Services is available this summer for virtual appointments. You can work on your resume or other application materials or discuss other aspects of professional development or finding the right opportunity. Center for Diversity and Inclusion

While you are taking classes online, the staff at CDI are happy to provide coaching and mentoring, leadership development, resources for LGBTQIA+ communities, and professional and academic support. CDI is a judgment free zone, and all students are welcome to access their services. Contact CDI at diversitycenter@mtu.edu to get in touch or for more information about connecting.

Counseling Services

Over the summer, a limited variety of services remains available to students enrolled in classes. Please contact Counseling Services at counseling@mtu.edu if you would like additional information.

Dean of Students

The Dean of Students is a resource for all Michigan Tech students. The office addresses student concerns ranging from academic standing (the Dean’s List and Probation) and personal emergencies to various questions about policies and procedures. 

The situations you may find yourself in need of assistance from the Dean of Students this summer are questions about excused absences for illness or emergencies. You can contact the Dean of Students office at deanofstudents@mtu.edu. Contact deanofstudents@mtu.edu with any questions or concerns or to schedule a meeting.

Financial Aid

If you have questions around your financial aid or other issues related to financing your education email finaid@mtu.edu. If you would prefer to talk to someone in person they are happy to set up a phone call or online meeting.

Learning Centers

The Math, Chemistry, College of Computing, Physics and Multiliteracies Learning Centers are open for virtual coaching this summer. In addition, success coaching is available through the Waino Wahtera Center for Student Success. Visit: Virtual Learning Centers Hours Summer 2020 for more details. 

Van Pelt and Opie Library

The Van Pelt and Opie Library is currently open on a limited basis.  See library hours for access times. At present, only patrons with HuskyCard (tap) access are permitted in the library.  Virtual research/reference help and remote consultation with librarians and archivists are available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit:  J. Student Disability Services

SDS is available to answer questions and assist you with accommodations and other aspects of your student experience. Visit:  Student Disability Services for information about accommodations. Contact sds@mtu.edu with any questions or to schedule a remote appointment. 

Waino Wahtera Center for Student Success

The Wahtera Center is available for direction around your success as a student. Staff members are available for virtual meetings; success coaches can offer strategies on time management, effective study skills, motivation, well being and the many other areas that support being a successful student.
