Through one recommendation of Carbon Neutral AQIP project, the Green Campus Enterprise was created. The Green Campus Enterprise is an organization at Michigan Tech comprised of students working to make the campus more sustainable through both low and high profile projects. Green Campus is charged with estimating the University's carbon footprint and suggesting ways to reduce it. Determining the carbon footprint is an extremely important aspect of sustainability on the campus and allows for the selection of energy reduction projects which will help reduce Michigan Tech's impact on the environment and offer cost savings to the university.
