The Class of '74 Study Abroad Endowed Fund was established at Michigan Technological University by donations from the Class of 1974 at its 25th Reunion to support study abroad opportunities for Michigan Tech students.
The donors desire to recognize undergraduate students who distinguish themselves by service to their fellow students and the University. Preference is given to students who demonstrate commitment to and evidence of being an international leader on campus. This is evidenced through participation in activities, initiatives, and organizations including International Club, Parade of Nations, international speakers programs, and study abroad recruiting, as well as being in a situation of financial need as determined by the Michigan Tech Financial Aid Office.
Awards support travel expenses for students participating in study abroad. Students must be currently enrolled at Michigan Tech, maintaining a 2.5 GPA or higher, and in good standing with the University (students on probation are not eligible).
