We welcome distinguished ecologists each fall to the Distinguished Ecologist Lecture Series (DELS), a collaboration between faculty in SFRES and the Department of Biological Sciences. The series is co-sponsored by the Ecosystem Science Center and the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science.
Graduate students enrolled in FW5000 receive one credit for attending the series and can take the course as many times as they like. They have the opportunity to meet the guest ecologists in pre- and post-lecture meetings to review their research and discuss its impact on the field of ecology. For more information, please contact Molly Cavaleri.
The SFRES Seminar Series welcomes distinguished scientists from outside Michigan Tech to speak on a variety of topics in different disciplines within natural resources. These speakers are invited and hosted by faculty to increase the knowledge and exposure of our students and faculty to historic and leading-edge research being completed at top universities and laboratories across the United States and internationally. This is the first year that we are combining the lecture series, with the goal of engaging a more diverse audience.
The Lecture Series takes place on alternate Thursdays in G002 from 12:30-1:30pm.
