Department Work Study Timeline

Step 1: Work Study Department Participation Form

Utilize this form to request to participate in the Federal Work Study program for your department. Submitting this form does not guarantee that you will have Federal Work Study students hired in your department.

Step 2: Post Position on Handshake

Be sure to select the Federal Work Study filter.

Step 3: Interview Student Applicants

Students may apply for more than one position. Please reach out to students to discuss hiring.

Step 4: Federal Work Study Hiring Form

To notify the Student Financial Services Center of your hired students, please complete this form to request Authorization for Federal Work Study Funding.  The Student Financial Services Center will verify students' eligibility and notify their supervisor of their Authorization and payroll information.  You may resubmit this form multiple times to include all hired students.
