Once Huskies . . .
You’ll always be Huskies and enjoy talking with grads and friends about the things you had in common at Michigan Tech. Successful alumni chapters support the University and foster these connections though programs such as social outings, scholarship fundraising, cultural events, and other meaningful activities.
Lead the Pack
If you don’t see your area on the Chapter Map, follow these steps to start a local chapter.
- Find Other Huskies
How many alumni are in your area? You can use the online alumni directory to find out or contact the Alumni Relations office for a detailed demographic report.
- Plan Your First Event
It’s best to keep your first event simple, inexpensive and fun. It’s an opportune time to identify others who are willing to help as chapter volunteers. Encourage networking by asking guests to share a story or just say a few words about their Tech experience.
- Ask for Help
Chapters can be successful in many different ways. Each chapter will have its own unique membership, interests, and goals. The Alumni Relations office can provide you with start-up tools including:
- A demographic report of your area
- Assistance with preparing and deploying a survey to determine interest
- A Chapter Facebook page
Pulling for the Team
If you don't see your area on the map, you can become a Michigan Tech Chapter Leader. Huskies roots run deep and strong. Your advocacy could be paramount to the success of future Huskies, influential in forming new networks, and relevant as a local source for inquiries about Michigan Tech.
