German musician Richard Wagner dominated the nineteenth-century music scene like none other, leading many to call him the most important composer in Western music history. The KSO celebrates the 200th anniversary of this compositional titan in its closing concert of the 2012-2013 season, including sublime orchestral episodes from his seminal operas Lohengrin and Tristan and Isolde. This concert of eclectic orchestral masterpieces also includes the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra singing a German drinking song – you don’t want to miss it!
