Looking for some cool videos to entertain you while you're on vacation this summer? Check out the Gemba Academy. You can watch engaging videos, created to be consumed in small bites, to learn about Lean from your desktop, laptop or smartphone.

If applied Lean is more your style, then try out their Gemba Academy Live! videos. These on-site videos highlight Lean practices at diverse organizations like Zingerman's mail order, Menlo Innovations software development firm and West Texas A&M University.

Thai Cuisine at Khana Khazana Today

Thai cuisine is featured at this week's Khana Khazana serving from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the food trailer in the MUB Circle.

The menu features Gange Ped Khai (red curry chicken with pineapple, Por Pia Tod (egg roll) and Sago Kao Pod (tapioca pearls with corn). Cost is $6.95 for the full meal.

Free HIV Testing on Campus Monday

Monday is National HIV testing day. The Western Upper Peninsula Health Department is offering free HIV testing on the Michigan Tech campus from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, June 27. 
 
Testing will take place at the Center for Diversity and Inclusion in the conference room (garden level). Testing is free to students, faculty, staff and the community and is confidential, anonymous and efficient.
 
Appointments will be available in 30 minute increments from 1 - 3 p.m. and can be made by emailing wmborosk@mtu.edu

Huskycast Video Platform Unavailable Tomorrow Evening 
 
Huskycast, the campus-wide video platform, will be unavailable from 8 to 11 p.m. tomorrow (June 25) for a planned system upgrade. During this time, existing recordings will not be accessible and attempting to upload new content to the system will result in a "Server unable to connect" message.

Leader Publications, which publishes the Niles Daily Star, ran the story of SBE undergraduate student Jerrid Burdue's win in the iOme Challenge national essay contest. 

In addition to the Daily Star, Leader Publications also publishes the Dowagiac Daily News, Cassopolis Vigilant, Edwardsburg Argus, Off the Water and the Leader.

New Funding

L. Brad King (ME-EM/LIFT), is the principal investigator on a project that has received a $199,867 research agreement from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
 
Ossama Abdelkhalik (ME-EM) and Michael Roggeman (ECE) are Co-PIs on the project "Stratus: A CubeSat to Measure Cloud Structure and Winds." This is a two-year project.
