Sure, solar's a snap in the sunny south. But what about in places that measure snowfall in feet?
The answer may surprise you. Even snowy Ontario is becoming a hotbed of photovoltaic energy. Now, Michigan Tech's Keweenaw Research Center is part of a study to quantify how snow affects solar panels’ power generation and determine the best ways to overcome any losses.
