Giving Opportunities

Current Priorities

Gifts designated to the School of Technology allow us to grow our programs and facilities, helping to improve the quality of education provided to students. Because state support for higher education has declined significantly in recent years, gifts of any size have an even greater impact on transforming individual lives, attracting world-class faculty members, and building innovative programs.

Explore the School's giving options by selecting any of the current priorities below, which will direct you to the respective online gift form.

Thank you for your generosity.

Scholarships

Scholarship gifts have a direct impact on a student's ability to pursue their educational goals. Support for existing scholarships is always appreciated or you might want to consider creating a new endowed or annual scholarship established in your name, in memoriam, or through your employer.

Jerry Caspary Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was endowed by the family of Jerry Caspary, who was the first dean of the School of Technology, in his honor. To reflect the family's wishes, only undergraduate students are considered for this scholarship award. Preference is given to students from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan who are enrolled in the School of Technology. Financial need is a factor.

Real-World Experience

The School affords students many opportunities to put their education to work before graduation. Michigan Tech's Enterprise program offers the kind of experience companies are seeking. Teams of students from diverse majors work together as a business, solving problems, creating new products, or working on special projects. Within the School, Senior Projects give students an intense, two-semester crash course in tackling technological challenges. And instructors are approachable and care about students' success—many have come from careers in industry and know how to prepare students for the real world of work.

Senior Design Projects

Support for Senior Design projects is limited, making it difficult for students to secure funds. Whether you or your employer would like to support the Senior Design program as a whole or prefer to designate funds to a specific student project, contributions to this fund provide an immediate and direct impact on the education of our students.

Programs and Facilities

The School's programs and facilities go hand in hand, since most of our courses have a lab component. Students come here to roll up their sleeves and get their hands on technology—so up-to-date lab facilities are integral to the education we provide. Gifts made directly to the School, including designations to any of its degree programs or initiatives, support current priorities and respond to emerging opportunities that are not covered by other funds.

School of Technology

The School of Technology educates students for technical- and management-oriented careers in business, industry, academia, and government. The hallmark of an education in the School is the practical application of technical knowledge—a hands-on approach that prepares students to address the problems in our global society. Gifts to the School are unrestricted.
