Biography
Guy Hembroff is an associate professor and program chair of computer network and system administration in the School of Technology at Michigan Tech. His areas of expertise are network engineering, medical/health informatics, Internet security, and programming.
Hembroff is the principal investigator on two healthcare projects for local clients: UP Healthcare Health Information Technology for Upper Peninsula Health Care Network, Inc. and Secure Electronic Medical Data Exchange and Patient Identification for Marquette General Health System. He is also involved with two committees related to health, serving as a member of the steering committee for Michigan Tech’s Health Strategic Faculty Hiring Initiative (SFHI) and as the IT strategic committee member for Portage Health Hospital. Hembroff is active in three professional societies: the Association for Computer Machinery, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and the American Medical Informatics Association.
