Kimberly-Clark Names Scott Usitalo ’81 Chief Marketing Officer

Kimberly-Clark Corporation announces that Scott Usitalo ’81 has been named chief marketing officer, reporting to Tony Palmer, president of global brands and innovation.

Usitalo joined Kimberly-Clark in 2008 and has held several global and regional leadership roles across the company. Most recently, he served as president for Kimberly-Clark’s family care business in North America.

“Kimberly-Clark is home to some of the world’s most trusted brands, and in his time with the company, Scott has demonstrated his ability to grow the business by challenging the category status quo,” says Palmer. “As chief marketing officer, Scott will continue to challenge our marketing function to be the core driver of our growth around the world.”

Prior to joining Kimberly-Clark, Usitalo spent over 24 years at Procter & Gamble in various product supply, brand management and global marketing leadership roles. He also honed his innovation capabilities with several CPG companies while in a consultancy role with Seed Strategy between his P&G and Kimberly-Clark experiences. He holds a bachelor of science in engineering and an honorary Ph.D. from Michigan Technological University.
