Wall Comes Crumbling Down

Your newsletter brings back good memories every issue.  Recently you have had a couple articles about Dr Pintar and some of the old buildings McNair, Hubbel and Sperr hall.  I remember being in a Unit Operations class – must of been in the fall of 1971 and I think Dr Pintar was the teacher (could have been Dr Hubbard).  We were in the Chem building with the windows facing south where a construction crew was knocking one of the buildings down.  They were only a few hundred feet away.  Each time the crane wrecking ball hit the wall it wobbled and was ready to fall any time.  We students would keep sneaking a glance each time it hit.  After a few minutes the Prof said OK lets take a break and watch the wall go down.  A couple hits later the wall collapsed and we went back to the lecture.

Good memories.
