John Scott ’10 Makes Acting Debut

Former Michigan Tech hockey player John Scott ’10 made his acting debut Thursday, November 30 on the TV show S.W.A.T. The “Imposters” episode featuring Scott aired on CBS.
Scott plays the role of a vilified professional hockey player on the episode. S.W.A.T. is a crime drama television series, based on the 1975 TV series. Imposters is the fifth episode of season one.
Scott played 126 games in a Michigan Tech sweater from 2002-06, scoring seven goals and adding 12 assists. He went on to play for the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Rangers, Buffalo Sabres, San Jose Sharks, Arizona Coyotes, and Montreal Canadiens.
Scott played a total of 286 NHL games, tallying five goals and six assists while racking up 544 penalty minutes.Scott was named the MVP of the 2016 NHL All-Star Game. He was the captain of the Pacific Division and scored two goals to help his team win the tournament. Scott’s helmet from the All-Star game was sent to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
