Need a Course?

We are trying to make the summer school more responsive to student needs. We need a better sense of what classes students are interested in taking on campus or through distance learning.

Distance Classes—We will be using new technology to deliver distance classes this summer.  These will include "live" (full video and audio) office hours and classes as well as new delivery systems for lectures and labs.  You can see a full video of the lecture discussion on your computer or iPod and participate in the discussions if you choose.

On-Campus Classes—On-campus classes will be either accelerated  in session A or B or run for the total semester.

If there is a course that you want as an on-campus course this summer semester you may request it by placing the course department and # in a subject heading of an email.  Thus if you wanted Cell and Tissue Mechanics in Biomedical Engineering you would put
                                        BE4100 On Campus
in the subject heading of your email and send to summerneed@mtu.edu.

If you wanted the the same course offered this summer distance you would put:
                                        BE4100 Distance
in the subject heading of your email and send to summerneed@mtu.edu

You will need to know the department and course # and please send ONE request for EACH course.  We will be using the department code and course # to sort the courses and we will forward the results to the departments to see if it is possible to add the courses this summer. We will make every effort to offer the course, but we cannot guarantee it.
