- Take advantage of lower tuition and fees before fall increases.
- Enjoy smaller class sizes.
- Take courses toward completion
of a dual degree program.
- Lighten your course load during
the regular academic year.
- Take courses toward completion
of a minor.
- Enjoy the Keweenaw’s fabulous summer.
- Take prerequisites
that you need for next year’s
classes.
- Make certain you complete your degree in
four years.
- Take courses to transfer back to your university
(for non-MTU students).
- Retake courses in which you received a low grade.
- All engineering and computer
science students
receive a
scholarship to cover the cost of the Engineering/Computer Science
Tuition Fee for a savings of $250-$500.

Incoming
First-year Students—
A good mathematics background is essential for success in a science and engineering curriculum; however,
about 70 percent of MTU's incoming students lack the mathematical background required for a successful college career.
The MaCH-I program will strengthen your existing mathematical abilities and give you
the opportunity to complete prerequisite coursework in other subjects as well. Check out the MACH-1 program here.
