How to Become a Blue Key Memeber
Each spring Blue Key inducts a class of around 25 students to become members. Membership lasts for two years. In order to be considered for membership candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Have a 3.0 or higher GPA,
- Or, be in the top 1/3 of their class
- Be a full-time student with sophomore or junior standing.
All students in the 1/3 of their class will receieve a letter in the spring with information on how to apply. If you meet the criteria and never recieved a letter you may contact the Blue Key office for information. Students, after receiving a letter who wish to join, must fill out an application (which can be picked up from the Blue Key office). Selected applicants will then be invited to an interview with the returning Blue Key members on Saturday, March 28th. Applicants will then be notified if they were selected to become a member of Blue Key. New members must pay a national Blue Key organization fee of approx. $50 and attend an initiation banquet.
