The Campus Bookstore is the University’s full-service, on-campus store and your source for textbooks. The store also sells general books, academically priced software and accessories, school supplies, Michigan Tech apparel, business apparel, and souvenirs. Any questions about books, supplies, and computer products should be directed here.

The Central Ticket Office sells tickets for the University’s athletic and cultural events, special events, and many community activities. Student rates are available for most Michigan Tech activities, including University cultural and fine arts events and home hockey games (Michigan Tech student season tickets are available). Michigan Tech students enjoy free admission to basketball, football, hockey, and volleyball games when they present their Tech Express ID card.

Also housed in the Memorial Union Building are the Dining Services/Catering offices, Keweenaw Commons Food Mall, the Campus Bookstore and Tech Express Service Center, Student Activities Office, Student Organization Office including Undergraduate Student Government (USG), Memorial Union Board, Michigan Tech Lode, and a commuter lounge.

The OAP offers students, staff, faculty, and community members the opportunity to get outside and enjoy some of the beautiful local wilderness. The program offers equipment rental, guided trips, seminars, day clinics, and trip-planning assistance. These services are designed to be low-cost and geared towards getting everyone outside regardless of prior outdoor experience.

The center issues official University identification cards to all Michigan Tech students, faculty, and staff. The Tech Express ID Card is used for building and parking access, meal plans, library checkout, and Express Cash (debit) purchases. There is a fee for replacing Tech Express ID Cards. The center also offers the following services to the campus community: postal box rental, postage stamps, UPS shipping, laminating, photocopying, fax service, locker rentals, Kodak photo printing, and athletic and cultural event tickets.
The Tech Express website is available 24/7 to view your Express Cash debit balance, review your transactions, and add value. The website is where you should report a lost or stolen card.

You can use your ID card at on-campus merchants including the Campus Bookstore, University Images, MUB Food Mall, Campus Café, Aftermath Café, Library Café, Fusion Fruit Smoothies, Husky Café, Mont Ripley Ski Hill, J. R. Van Pelt and Opie Library Digital Media Studio, photocopiers and printers, most vending machines, and all campus ticket offices. You can add value and view your balance and transactions online, as well as report your card lost or stolen. Parents and others can also add value to your card online. While Express Cash can’t be used off campus, you and your parents always know it’s being used for your needs on campus. It’s fast, convenient, and a lot safer than carrying cash. The bookstore has a satellite operation, University Images, in the SDC. This store does not carry textbooks but offers a broad selection of Michigan Tech apparel and logo items, gifts, hockey equipment, and sporting goods. University Images is open seven days per week from July through December, six days per week from January through June, and for extended hours during sporting and other special events.
