Poet Mr. Blanco holds degrees in Civil Engineering and Creative Writing and has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, National Public Radio’s All Things Considered, Fresh Air with Terry Gross, and various conferences and venues. Richard was the 5th Poet in U.S. history given  the honor to write a poem for a Presidential Inauguration. On January 21, 2013, he read “One Today” as an honorary participant in the official ceremony.
