Mediator Training - Upper Peninsula Commission for Area Progress (UPCAP, Community Dispute Resolution Services 5 Day Program

Have you ever wanted to be trained as a Mediator?  If yes, you could make a real difference!

 

The Upper Peninsula Commission for Area Progress (UPCAP), Community Dispute Resolution Services Program is seeking individuals who would like to make a difference in their community. This training is made possible by Michigan Tech. 

 

UPCAP Dispute Resolution Services Program provides mediation services in Delta, Menominee, Schoolcraft, Gogebic, Iron, Dickinson, Ontonagon, Baraga, Houghton and Keweenaw Counties. Disputes involving everything from workplace to neighborhood disagreements to divorce and parenting time issues as well as special education concerns are handled by their trained volunteer mediators.

 

If you would like to participate, the workshop is March 17- 21. (This is a five consecutive day 40-hour workshop.) The sessions will be held in Wadsworth Hall, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., daily. Lunch will be provided. This training and lunch is provided to you at no cost. Some additional training and volunteer hours will be scheduled with you after the completed in-session training.
