Project Title: Student Success Center
Abstract: We intend to establish a Student Success Center that will augment
the services of academic advisors and learning centers by helping students
with the development of the life skills and intellectual habits they need
to be successful students. The Center will also help students with choice
of major and career exploration.
The Student Success Center will be a primary responsibility of the Director
of Academic Support Services who will also coordinate the development
and delivery of the UN1000 course,Framework for Success. Space for the
start up of the Center has been identified on the third floor of the Library.
Success of the Success Center will be measured by monitoring the academic
standing and retention of students who use the center vs. those who do
not.
