Project Title: A new software engineering undergraduate degree program

Abstract: The high complexity and fast pace of today's software projects make an integrated knowledge of software engineering, management, and applications crucial. Computer science graduates are now expected to
do more than design software; they often take major roles in planning and managing projects, supervising personnel, and interacting with domain experts. Michigan Tech has a computer science department with expertise in software engineering, a business school with strength in management and entrepreneurship, and a wealth of potential application areas in science and engineering. We plan to develop a unique undergraduate software engineering curriculum that takes advantage of all of these.
