Project Title: Mind Mapping: An Antidote for PowerPoint Poisoning

Abstract: Mind Mapping and other "Visual Thinking" tools use the concept software that came with your mind (as original equipment). A project team should be put together to offer training (one-on-one, seminars, and online courses(s)) to MTU students, faculty, and staff, on the concepts of mind mapping and the availability and use of mind mapping software packages.

Both the methodology and the software offer viable alternatives to standard linear presentations, confusing brainstorming sessions, and the lethargy that comes from overdosing on PowerPoint presentations. Instead, one has a dynamic environment demonstrating the fine details and overall structure simultaneously, with clearer delineation of structure and relationships, better understanding, and improved retention.
