Project Title: MTU Virtual Center for Leadership and Change Management

Abstract: Change management can refer to the task of managing change itself, a large and changing body of knowledge, or consultancy and professional practice. MTU should create a virtual community of professionals with knowledge of change management that would facilitate and coordinate the management of change on campus. The team or teams would help support and accomplish the following:
1. Promote investment in infrastructure to support change (especially in people and their skills).
2. Plan, promote, and provide communication channels.
3. Reduce the overall mass of each change (breaking it into more manageable chunks).
4. Work with customers, constantly communicating and evaluating the need for change and expectations.
5. Work with suppliers and vendors to make change efficient, effective, and inexpensive.
6. Protect our personnel - training, professional development, rewards, recognition, etc.
7. Measure results of change.

The center is virtual, the professional members of the team(s) will change with time and availability. Over time an online resource center will develop that could provide help for our regional community as well.
