Project Title. Greening Michigan Tech – Environmental Sustainability in Campus Operations and Activities

Abstract.
The goal of Greening Michigan Tech is threefold:

Initiate a core set of sustainable activities that will establish Michigan Tech as a major player in the green/environmental campus world, serving to supply recognition and move Michigan Tech toward becoming a national university of choice for students, industry, and supporters interested in an environmentally responsible institution.

Develop a revenue stream via savings that some of the sustainable activities will generate to offset other activity costs.

Incentivize a larger group of students, faculty, and staff to participate in core sustainable activities.

This approach will foster an environmentally responsible campus atmosphere that many current and prospective students expect, while moving Michigan Tech to the forefront of a field that is attracting increasing national attention.
