Project Title: Go FISH!!

Abstract: Michigan Tech's success will be achieved through its people. However, people need to feel that they contribute and make a difference. Amid the threats of budget cuts and declining enrollment, FISH! is a common sense approach to boost morale, improve teamwork, and enhance customer service.

The FISH! philosophy is based on four key principles: Play. Make their day. Be there. Choose your attitude. By applying what is learned in FISH! seminars, individuals will not only become better employees or supervisors, they will become better people.

A pilot group of 200 self-selected Michigan Tech staff will go through FISH! training the first year of the program. From that group, facilitators will be selected, trained, and readied for assignments. After it is determined to be successful in transforming the culture of the institution, the remainder of the staff will be encouraged to attend.Project Leader Name: Becky Christianson
