Plan: Letter of Intent Project Title:
Engineering Alive: Web-Based Support for Educators in Engineering and
the Sciences Abstract:
A web site devoted to topics in engineering will be developed, serving
as a resource for secondary and undergraduate students and teachers. The
hierarchy of this 'living book' will permit organization across the entire
breadth of engineering: Volumes -
disciplines: e.g. chemical, civil, electrical A template will be followed including background information, scientific concepts, engineering design and example applications, while providing uniformity of presentation. Partnering with industry and implementation of a web-marketing program will make the effort self-supporting within three years. Always growing, always new this project is aptly entitled, "Engineering Alive"! Project Leader
