The names, Michigan Tech, Michigan Technological University, and their accompanying visual marks are registered trademarks of Michigan Technological University. The use of the Michigan Tech name, logos, seals, and/or other symbols of Michigan Technological University, in commercial venture, even fund raising or promotional activities requires prior written approval.
Michigan Tech has partnered with the Licensing Resource Group (LRG) to manage the Michigan Tech Trademark Program.
LRG is a trademark managing company which specializes in collegiate licensing and branding. LRG represents more than 180 universities, colleges, athletic conferences nationwide.
How can I obtain a license and how do I know if a vendor is licensed?
Vendors producing Michigan Tech merchandise must be licensed to do so even if the end use of the merchandise is not commercial sales.

How can I tell if a product is licensed?
Look for the Collegiate License Product (CLP) label. If a label or other notation indicating CLP is missing, it is probably not a licensed product. For more information regarding CLP please visit the LRG website at the following link:
