Hercules First Response

HERCULES is a volunteer organization at Michigan Tech's Department of Public Safety and Police Services. It is being created to assist the local medical responders and improve the emergency response times on campus. All members will have access to training sessions for medical certifications ranging from C-CERT to Medical First Response. New members are welcome at anytime with no prior experience necessary. Through volunteers and teamwork, HERCULES is able to achieve great things and truly make a difference in the community.

What is HERCULES?

We are a volunteer student group under the Department of Public Safety and Police Services.

We help local medical services by responding to medical emergencies on campus and provide medical care until the paramedics can arrive.

When are services available?

Members will be on call 24/7 to respond to medical emergencies. We plan to begin responding by Summer 2010.

Are there any fees for this service?

No, we operate as a volunteer organization.

Is training available?

Training is offered through courses at Michigan Tech. Opportunities for training may be offered outside of the University as well.

How do I become a member??

Come visit us at one of our meetings. We meet on Wednesdays at 7:00PM in Fisher 138
