Welcome! As Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, I work with a team of deans, chairs, directors, and faculty to promote excellence in teaching, expand Michigan Tech’s research, scholarly, and creative activities, and enhance campus diversity. Two points of pride are our Strategic Faculty Hiring Initiative, which has engaged us in developing high-quality interdisciplinary research and degree programs in the areas of sustainability, computation, energy and health; and our ADVANCE grant from the National Science Foundation to recruit, retain and promote women in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Together we work to grow Michigan Tech as a premier technological research university of international stature, delivering education, new knowledge, and innovation for the needs of our technological world.
