"Get Involved!"

"So many activities. . ."
Social sciences graduate Elithe Zoglman says that is her best advice. "There are so many activities; so many chances to become a leader." She should know. She was president of her sorority, Alpha Sigma Tau, a team leader in orientation, and active in Air Force ROTC. She also played Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, was involved in Winter Carnival and became a Second Lieutenant in the Air Force when she graduated in December.

Her hardest test so far? "Boot camp in Florida for the Air Force!" she says without hesitation. The Lena, Wisconsin, native likes to work out and that included working the AST house on College Avenue.

Words of advice? "Take orientation seriously," she says. "You can learn so much in a low-stress atmosphere." And, again, "get involved. Tech is a tighly knit community, and there are so many opportunities for leadership. You should step out of your comfort zone and try something new."

Define MTU. "It's a university, while steeped in technology, that still produces well-rounded students. With all the on- and off-campus doings, like Carnival, it's a great place to grow."
