Board Hires Firm to Assist in Presidential Search

The effort to hire a new University president took a major step forward as the Board of Trustees hired a firm to aid in the search. The Michigan Technological University Board of Trustees has selected the firm of Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates to assist in the search for the University’s next president.

Michigan Tech Board of Trustees Appoints Presidential Search Committee

At a special meeting on Friday, June 2, the Michigan Technological University Board of Trustees unanimously appointed members of a Presidential Search Committee.

The 14-member committee will review candidates for a president to succeed Glenn Mroz when he returns to the faculty at the end of June 2018.

Michigan Tech President Glenn Mroz Announces Intention to Return to Faculty in 2018

Michigan Technological University President Glenn D. Mroz announced his intention to return to faculty starting no sooner than June 30, 2018. In an open letter to the University community yesterday, Mroz stated, “For some time now, the University leadership and I have worked to develop a comprehensive plan in anticipation of leadership succession."
