College Access Programs

The Center for Pre-College Outreach’s College Access programs are designed to expose students from our community to the world of college. The goal is simple: to promote a college-going culture among students in the Keweenaw and across the UP. We are by no means the only department doing this kind of outreach, so we try to lend support to other efforts as often as possible.

College Access can mean a lot of things. It could mean bringing 200 middle school students to campus to learn about STEM for a day, or it could mean visiting a small group of six students at their school to discuss financial aid. Some programs happen once per year, while others consist of recurring visits. Each program is unique to its audience.
