Orientation

Your academic career at Michigan Tech begins with orientation. It's an excellent time to familiarize yourself with available student resources.

Graduate Student Orientation

Students will participate in new student orientation.

Students will complete Orientation to Graduate Studies and Research online to satisfy the Basic Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training requirement. Enrolled students will be emailed specific information based on their degree program.

Undergraduate Student Orientation

Students who are supplementing their on-campus experience with online courses participate in Michigan Tech's O Week. Find out more about orientation on our Admissions Orientation website or on our Orientation website.

There's a special orientation for dual enrollment students. They will automatically be contacted by the Admissions Office.

Non-degree seeking students don't need to participate in a formal orientation.

Don't Be Shy

"Contact faculty with questions. Many online students are hesitant to contact professors via email or phone, but faculty with online sections are happy to communicate with them to answer questions."
