Content Management System Update

Implementation of the Rythmyx Content Management System is progressing. Gail Sweeting has been named the Project Manager. Gail, Mary Jane Lowney and Chad Arney attended Rythmyx training in May, and two Rythmyx engineers are conducting on-site training June 5-7 on campus. Both will return in July for further on-site training.
The project has the following structure:
- Project Manager: Gail Sweeting
- Technical lead: Chad Arney
- Business processes and workflow: Mary Jane Lowney
- Steering Committee: Bonnie Gorman, Mary Jane Lowney, Shea McGrew, Walt Milligan
- Project team: Chad Arney, Jennifer Donovan, Dave Fredrickson, Clare Rosen
- Implementation Committee: Dan deBeaubien, Kathy Kokkila, Haihua Li, Joanne Polzien, Ann Roth
The test site that will be used for developing templates and building the system will be the Vice President for Research site and all underlying links, approximately 200 pages. The team hopes to have this test site developed and converted by the end of the summer. About a half-dozen other departments have volunteered to be early adopters. Based on experience at other campuses, it is anticipated that converting the whole campus will take between 18-24 months.
