In addition, College Factual ranked Tech’s chemical engineering program first among the five programs in Michigan—up from number two last year.
Pradeep Agrawal, chair of chemical engineering at Michigan Tech, says rankings from College Factual are notable. “While all rankings should be taken with a grain of salt, I am particularly pleased with the College Factual rankings because these are based on hard data on outcomes such as graduation and retention rates, student placement statistics, etc. and are not based on subjective or emotional parameters.” He adds, “I am very proud of our faculty, staff and students who work hard towards these positive outcomes."
College Factual has ranked Tech’s civil engineering program No. 30 out of 209 programs nationwide, making it one of the top programs in the U.S. to study civil engineering. This is an improvement of three positions over the previous year’s ranking of No. 33. In addition, College Factual ranked Tech’s civil engineering program first among the six programs in Michigan. This is the second straight year the program has been ranked best in Michigan.
"I believe our quality education, built on hands-on experiences supported by caring faculty and staff, is the reason our programs shine."
College Factual ranks Michigan Tech’s environmental engineering program as a top-10 program nationwide. The site ranked Tech’s program No. 7 of the top 46 it rated in America and Michigan’s top program.
