Locating Other Resources

If you are unable to find what you are looking for using our library resources by Asking a Librarian, please try looking at other catalogs.

WorldCat

A worldwide library catalog of books and other materials cataloged by OCLC member libraries. It includes millions of bibliographic records and library holdings information for all types of material. Since WorldCat includes advanced search features not available in Open WorldCat, this version is recommended for MTU users. Login is required for off-campus use.

MeLCat

MeLCat is a state-wide catalog of books, videos, CDs, DVDs and more. Participating MeLCat libraries have agreed to share their materials, creating a resource sharing system for the entire state of Michigan. Some materials that are not generally available through traditional interlibrary loan are available through MeLCat. These include videos, DVDs and CDs.

Holders of either a Tech Express card or a Van Pelt and Opie Library Courtesy card may use the MeLCat resource sharing system. Patron accounts must be in good standing with no outstanding fines and fees. Check Borrower Services and MeLCat FAQ for more information.
