Key Sites for Government Information
Nearly all United States government and quasi-governmental agencies provide information on the World Wide Web. The nature of the information and its format varies by agency. You can expect to find the mission and policies of the agency, its director, and other contact persons. Most agencies provide considerably more information, including recent publications, statistics, and images.
USA.gov:
This is the official government site that searches over 87 million sites. Can search for just federal, federal and a specific state, federal and all states, all states, or a specific state. Advanced search gives the most flexibility.

NASA Scientific & Technical Information Program
Provides access to more than three million aerospace-related bibliographic citations. It includes CASI TRS (RECONselect) containing bibliographic citations and abstracts for public aerospace documents, journal articles, and conference proceedings from 1970 to the present. Documents may be available at Michigan Tech Library or through interlibrary loan.

National Resource Conservations Service Soils web page
This page is the gateway and part of the National Cooperative Soil Survey, an effort of Federal and State agencies, universities, and professional societies to deliver scientifically based soil information. It includes a link to the Web Soil Survey, a web site which allows online viewing of soil survey maps and reports. This new application greatly enhances access to information on soils.
