International Mentor Program

The International Mentor Program assists international students in their adjustment to the new academic environment and culture. IPS offers you an opportunity to be mentored and guided by a current student at Michigan Tech University. We will automatically match all Undergraduate First-year, Transfer and Exchange students to a mentor by gender and will make every attempt to match by general degree program.

Any student may request a mentor: please complete and submit the Intercultural Mentee Form.

International Student Organizations

Michigan Tech has several international student organizations. If your country is represented by an organization, you should contact the organization before you come to the US. They may be able to provide useful information and help you settle in at Michigan Tech. The International Club (I Club) is an umbrella student organization representing all nations of the world. Michigan Technological University offers students approximately 200 opportunities to get involved, see the complete directory Student Organizations.
