Accepted students who do not pay enrollment deposit by the deadline may lose their housing request and their seat in required classes.
Enrollment Deposit (required for ESL, First-Year and Transfer students)
The $100 enrollment deposit is required of all undergraduate ESL, First-Year and Transfer students (NOT for Exchange or Graduate students) enrolling at Michigan Tech.
Your deposit can be paid on-line on your MyMichiganTech account.
- Use the Michigan Tech Username and Web ISO that was provided in your "portal letter", which was in the packet with your I-20/DS-2019. These are unique to each accepted student, and the password (Web ISO) is case-sensitive - you must type all characters exactly as they appear. Please protect your own privacy by keeping your username and password secure.
- In the 'Application Status' section, click on 'Pay Your Enrollment Deposit'
- Next, click on 'Student Services & Financial Aid'
- Finally, click on the last item on the list: 'Enrollment Deposit'; choose 'Make Payment Electronically' and follow directions.
PLEASE NOTE: the portal is unavailable during scheduled maintenance sessions from 2:00–6:00 A.M. EST (GMT -5:00). If you are not able to log in, please try again at a different time.
You may also submit the enrollment deposit by check or money order drawn on a US bank and made payable in US funds to Michigan Technological University. Please make sure your bank has a routing number encoded on the draft and send your check to the Accounting Office at:
